(no subject)
I lapsed again. I think my brain just doesn’t want to keep up with this. Oh well.
So we’re mostly moved back. Moved all the big stuff with the truck last weekend, and have been making trips with the cars as much as we can. We still have a lot of stuff at the house, which we need to get out this week. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of time and we don’t have much money to keep filling up the cars every 3 days. I can’t wait for this to be over and everything can go back to normal.
We’re broker than broke at the moment. The bank put a hold on my paycheck from the hotel, so only 1/3 of it was available, and we’re completely out of gas in the truck and we have no food in the house. We’ve never been this hard up before, where we’re scrounging for change to run to McDonald’s to get dinner off the dollar menu. It’s really pathetic. We ran out of heat in the propane tanks, and of course the temps dropped down in the 40’s last night. The house was 60 when I got home this morning. It doesn’t sound that cold, but inside a house, it was like walking in to a refrigerator. We can’t get anymore fuel until I pay them the $250 we owe them from the last fill up. Argh.
So other than that, things are good.
Things should turn around once we get the trailer sold, and we’re not supporting 2 households. Then maybe we can get caught up on bills, etc.
The cats are a bit confused by being back at the house. We’re not letting them in the basement, because of the water/mold issues, and they’re of course dying to get down there. Makes it a challenge to take laundry up/down because they’re bolting between your legs. We also moved our bedroom to the 1st floor, and they’re used to it being upstairs. They’re slowly adjusting tho. I like the fact that our new bedroom is small and that I can roll from one side of the bed to the other and open either of the doors in the room. So when the cats want out, I don’t have to get out of bed! So lazy.
Our old bedroom is now the computer room, so there’s a bit more space. Since we couldn’t find anyone to buy our old couches, we moved the love seat up there for the time being. It fits nicely in the room, and we still have plenty of space.
I think that’s about it. Not much has been going on, except moving and working. Fun stuff. :)
