I really need to update this in some capacity. So much is going on, but it gets tiresome typing it all out!
I guess the most important news, for those that don’t know, we’re moving back to Front Royal. The mortgage company, to our shock and surprise, offered us a modification. It’s something that they came up with, nothing dealing with the various government plans that are out there. I never thought they would do it, which is why I quit trying and ultimately why we moved to Martinsburg. I tried for over a year to get things going, but they kept denying us. Now that they’re being pressured by the government to step up, they decided to help us. Go figure.
We’re going back to an interest only loan, but for the term of 10 years. The interest rate starts at 3.875% and goes up approximately 0.7% every year until it caps out at our original rate of 7.75%. So there’s no huge balloon every 6 months, like previously. Our payment is going from $1900/mo, down to $1000/mo, which is a pretty significant drop and more in the range of what we can afford.
It’s going to be a struggle to make ends meet, just for the day to day stuff, but we’ll get through it like we have for the past 5 years. We’re still not able to pay the credit cards, which bothers me, but we’ll get there eventually and be able to get everything paid off.
Now for the next couple of weeks we’re moving stuff back to the house, then we’ll get the trailer on the market. We’re going to rent a truck next weekend to get everything in one swoop, since 75% of the stuff is still in boxes it’ll be (hopefully) an easy day. The only thing I’m concerned about is the washer/dryer and the couch, the 2 heaviest things. BIL is suppose to come help us out, but if not, Jon and I will have to do it ourselves, which will be a challenge!

Work has been work. The hotel is driving me crazy. I was planning on quitting in the next month or so, but now with us moving back, we still really need the money. I have to grin and bear it, but I’m not sure how long I can do that.

Animals are good. Crazy, as usual. Sammy seems to be doing well on the meds for his thyroid, but we go in this week for blood work and a weight check. I think they’re going to miss the trailer and the fact that it has carpet. They love running from one end to the other - it sounds like a herd of elephants! They’re going back to traction-less floors, which is a bit challenging!

Alrighty, that’s all for now. Worked audit last night, and took about an hour nap this afternoon. Then we headed down to the house to clean and paint! I’m pooped.
