weekend
Yesterday I did absolutely nothing. I figured I’d take it easy after the fun from Friday night. Only had a handful of PVC’s during the day, which was encouraging.
Today was some what of the same, except we decided to start cleaning up the basement, in preparation for Goose’s release down there. We started on the laundry room, because quite frankly, it was gross. We rearranged some of the shelving and combined a few boxes together, and got rid of some empty boxes that were taking up space. It’s better organized now, tho we did discover a pretty substantial water issue in the corner. Not sure if it’s recent or has been there a while, but it’s some thing to keep an eye on.
While we were in the basement, we decided to let Goose run around, so he could get used to being down there (and hopefully get the mischief out of his system). Yeah, that didn’t go exactly as planned. Our basement is cinder block and the house frame is sitting on the outside of the cinder block. So there’s just enough space for a little kitty to get up there. I didn’t think he would see it, unfortunately I was wrong. He gets up there, starts eating all these nasty old cobb webs and then starts doing his cute little meow. All the while Jon and I are trying to figure out how to get him down because there are nails sticking through the ceiling and he was VERY close to piercing himself with one. Jon distracted him with his glove, and managed to grab his scruff and pull him down. Needless to say, he wasn’t too happy. That ended his time in the basement for today. It’s going to be nearly impossible to Goose proof the entire basement because unlike other cats, he gets in to EVERYTHING. In the 4.5 years we’ve been here, not one of the other cats has gotten in to the amount of crap that Goose has. He’s crazy!
Anyways, after that we watched a couple of movies, had dinner, and then I caught up on work from the weekend. I have to call the hospital tomorrow to set up a time to get the monitor. I have to go in to work tomorrow, so I’m hoping I can get it on Tuesday, but we’ll see what they say.
I hung some new curtains in the kids room as well as the office, tho I did that last week some time. I’ll be taking some pics of them and posting them later.
