The animosity between Velma and Shaggy breaking up over Scooby continues for many episodes, eventually becoming one of the factors that drives the entire gang apart to lead their own agendas.

Until the next mystery comes along...

I don't watch the show regularly - but I've noticed that... and it's making Daphne feel very unhappy about her relation with Fred...

I have to admit, this incarnation of the series is actually surprisingly refreshing. The stories actually have some depth (in a seriously deranged way).

I still think Shaggy and Scooby Get a Clue is a little ahead of it...

Ye gawds, the first two thoughts in my brain after watching that were: "Uhh...Scooby DOES realize that he IS a DOG, right?", followed by, "Holy shit, but the furries are gonna eat this up."

I do like the fact that there's an over-arching backstory with Mister E. in it (har, har) through each episode, and parallels to the original series referenced frequently in the show. I also think that Fred's near-manic obsession with traps (and his resulting cluelessness to Daphne's feelings for him)is both brilliant, but sad.

The fact that the whole town (including the gang's respective parents) are all highly annoyed by the gang's interest in solving the mysteries that give the town all its money in tourist attractions is also an odd twist; when the Sheriff threw them in jail (gotta love Patrick Warburton) and threatened Fred with bodily harm, my jaw hit the floor, and then I cracked up.

Definitely not the "Scooby-Doo" I remember from my childhood, but there are so many tie-ins that I can't help but love it.

It's definitely a different take on it all while retaining a connection to the past, that's for sure.
