just a little friendly competition
Lucas, as always, is topping whatever I do. When I came back from Papua New Guinea, he'd just recently returned from Kyrgistan where he'd been mountaineering and named his own mountain peak.
So of course this year, armed with all my plans for the summer and the fall, I was confident I'd have him bear.
But no, he's going to be writing in Spain for the summer, And spend the next year with an $18,000 grant, given to him by Scotsman, to study/do mountaineering in Europe for the next year while beginning his career as a travel writer.
What's it take? Soon enough he'll be doing manned missions to mars. There's never any outdoing him. Well Lucas, I raise my glass to you, you're a champ.
