NYC day 5
Today started out stupid. Little things like waking up way too groggy and spilling water on myself kind of stuff. But it was alright in the long run. It's been kind of gloomy here due to all the rain and the like and I think I need to get rain boots. I'm tired of wet calves :P I went to work on the subway today!
On a side note, I am kind of happy that I could do that at all. I feel like I have a better handle on this whole city actually. I haven't really been like 100% lost since getting here. The grid system that the city is built on and the subway system really isn't that bad once you get use to it. That and the New Yorkers don't really mind pointing you in the right direction. Especially if you only as that, thank them and then move on. ^.^ I am really starting to get use to and like this city, which is pretty cool. ^.^
Annnnyyy way work was fun. Did a lot more concept work in the morning, had an intern lunch that was cool (we learned about account planning and TAG-McCann's in house agency that deals with young adults/ 20-29's or young-at-heart-ers :P ) then right back to work. Erin and I have a meeting with our team tomorrow at 11 so I am gonna go in early to get more work done for that tomorrow.
YOU GUYS!!!! I am sorry I'm not telling you a lot about the work I am doing, but I legally can't. T.T I'm actually really excited about it, and it is REAL WORK FOR A CLIENT! And while that makes me excited, that also makes all my ideas the property of McCann and means that I can get in to a lot of trouble talking about it. So sorry I really haven't talked about it much. But I am doing some fun work that I am excited about. ^.^
Last thing, MYC IS LOUD. O.o Like it is one of those things that you never really think about until you get here. I still want to yell "SHUT UPPP!" to all the people honking their horns and stuff :P Sometimes I wake up cause of people singing outside my building and stuff too lol. It is a very wtf kind of moment :D
Oh and last last thing. Every time I move to a new city and I make one decision that my parents consider a financial mistake. Did I forget to tell you guys that on monday I joined greenpeace.... on the streets of NYC? hah that was fun. The guy was nice though and now I have an edible sticker! XD
