He looked at his hands as Alice began her wrapping. Tarrant wasn't the type to complain about his misfortunes since they were much darker than he cared to recall at one single moment. This wasn't the place to become melodramatic either. Not when oblivion threatened to knock him down. "Alice, I have been meaning to ask in the most particular way but why did you need to return home so badly? I could have provide all that you ever need in Underland, you know." He smiled which was the truth but at the same time his own curiosity got the better of him and he just simply needed to know.
"Did you ever find your answers? Peculiar things they are but certainly not empty." He added.
