Orihime's steps were quick, spirited, with a definite spring to them. Her cheeks were flushed with a pink glow, her dark eyes sparkling with happiness. The air was humid and foggy, and she couldn't see the sun. So it wasn't the weather that had her in such a good mood. But it was easy to see just why she seemed constantly on the verge of laughter, if one just looked down.
There, trotting at her side, was a dog. A Yorkshire terrier, to be specific. With enormous eyebrows. That was part of his appeal, really, to Orihime. The eyebrows were hilarious! And as she held a special place in her heart for a certain somebody who also had funny eyebrows, well... It was hardly unexpected that she would completely adore this dog!
Her apartment didn't really have much in it to meet a dog's needs. Wheeljack was kind in providing a flap Bent into Orihime's door so "Chaplin-chan" could come and go as he needed in order to...do doggie business. But she needed to find things to make her place a comfortable place for him to live...like a basket, a pillow, some chew toys. And LOTS of food. Clearly Chaplin-chan liked scones, but she wasn't sure if he was eating one because they were handy, or because he they were preferred. Since he was intelligent enough to answer 'yes or no' questions, Orihime reasoned that she could let him pick out the things he liked.
"Ah! There it is!" Orihime beamed, pausing at the street corner where she could just barely see the brightly-colored tarps and canvas marking the various stalls and stands. It was true that she could have asked Wheeljack to Bend anything she needed, but he had enough on his mind that she didn't want to make him into Santa Claus. Besides, going to the market was one of the things she'd really enjoyed back home. It was fun to browse through the different wares, and in this place, she was bound to see something exotic that didn't exist on earth. Maybe some new fruits or vegetables that she could try!
She grinned, and took off at a run. "Come on, Chaplin-chan, let's hurry!" she laughed over her shoulder. The sooner they got there, the better!
