Catching Roxas when he wasn't otherwise occupied proved to be more difficult that Axel expected. Sure, he could find him easily enough, but the Thirteenth kept himself very busy. There was also the fact that he wanted to have this little talk without Xion right there, which proved to be ... well, difficult. He didn't call the three of them inseparable for no reason.
More importantly, this conversation ... really wasn't something Axel wanted to have. He knew he needed to, of course; staying silent certainly hadn't worked out the first time. But every time he thought about it too much, his head inevitably began to ache, as double-memories swam through his mind and made his vision blur.
... But the longer he put things off, the fewer excuses he had. And in the end, he'd just have to tolerate the headache.
So when he mentioned the wailing trees that had attacked him the previous week, and said that their remains had been taken to the area outside the Southern District, he figured he'd finally get a chance to tell Roxas about Xion.
What he hadn't anticipated was just how loud that wailing trunk still was.
The moment they stepped out of the Corridor, Axel immediately winced and covered one of his ears. "See?" he called above the screeching. "Just like I told ya!"
