Disappointments abound. [VOICE]
[As always, the post from Darwin is voice only - absolutely no video at all. The sound of the ocean can be heard in the background. He's probably either on the beach or up on one of the near rocky outcroppings overlooking the water.]
Glass. It was all turned to glass...and Saberling Drones...
[Oh guess who finally made it back through the gate...only to eventually encounter a real problem on the other side?]
[He sighs, silent for a long moment before speaking again.]
I know I've missed a lot. I managed to get home, finally, but I was hardly there for twenty minutes before...
[Another pause.]
I've actually been back about a day. Time obviously doesn't convert well between there and here, but I should have known that given no time passed there while I was here, earlier. I've read and listened to the news on the wire. I've seen what I've missed. This place is never quiet, is it? Not real friendly to a newb like me who is still minus all his best equipment.
But now I've got nowhere else to go and I'm not even who I thought I was. Just great, really.
I have no "plan B" for this.
