The Academy was putting on an awards banquet for the crew of the Enterprise, namely Acting Captain Kirk and himself. It had been nearly two weeks since the whole ordeal and Spock had still been attempting to come to terms with what all happened. But now was the banquet and he was expected to be there, next to his Captain and his Acting Captain. So

Christine had stayed in bed longer than usual, waiting until Spock was out of the shower to get in herself. Then, interrupting her process of putting on the blue formal uniform she'd actually yet to wear, she was distracted by Spock's musings at the window.

Not any further dressed than underwear and skirt, she came up behind her mate, wrapping her arms around him and stretching to her tiptoes to rest her chin on his shoulder.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Spock hadn't noticed her coming up behind him and her hug startled him out of his thoughts. He quickly finished doing up his black formal jacket.

"There is little to talk about," he spoke softly, turning slightly in her arms to see her.
