The Academy was putting on an awards banquet for the crew of the Enterprise, namely Acting Captain Kirk and himself. It had been nearly two weeks since the whole ordeal and Spock had still been attempting to come to terms with what all happened. But now was the banquet and he was expected to be there, next to his Captain and his Acting Captain. So he had gotten up that morning, showered and now he was dressing in hiss black officer’s uniform looking out the window at the campus. Standing there he started thinking, thinking about his mother who he had lost and his world that he lost…everything seemed almost empty now without Vulcan.
