On fall break plus a week, part II.

Just a little anecdote before I begin to retell my tale of frivolity and such. I just received my math test back today and for the record, I failed. You know why I failed? I'll tell you why! It's funny. Really. I divided when I should have subtracted. Haha! I'm laughing it off mostly because math has ceased to make sense and so it no longer applies to me.

So...here goes! On that Saturday, I went out with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday. I don't know if she really wanted to go to this seafood restaurant which I found to be a little on the sleazy side, but it had some...decent food. Never before had I eaten so much fried food though...flounder, shrimp, scallops, clam strips, fries...all in a crispy golden flakey batter thingie that really made me want to puke afterwards.

After recovering from the seafood heart attack, Jason and I went out to visit Janaki and Nina in the city...and it was definitely one of the highlights of my weekend. They both look like they're doing mighty fine at school. At least we're ALL on the same page in terms of grades, being that we're kindasorta hanging on but doing absolutely horrible in multi. =D We are not alone.

Nina wanted an "I <3 NY" t-shirt, because her roommate has one she didn't want to be upstaged. So we went on the shirt for a cheap shirt. There was no way Times Square would have one, because it's motherfuckin' Times Square. So onto the Q to Chinatown! This lady wanted to sell Nina 5 shirts for 10 dollars, but she only bought 1 for 3. And it had a hole in it.

After a couple cups of sago, Janaki FINALLY got to see me and Jason do our DDRing thang. Well...it was pump, but still. She was happy and thrilled, which is good since it would be her birthday very very soon. We take a train back up to the Columbia / Barnard area, and...OMG it's so pretty up there. I met Janaki's roommate, who's also really cool.

After putting a reservation at Nacho's kitchen, the five of us just go bumbling about, shopping for things. I love bookstores. There's something about them that's like...I dunno. It's a good smell. Papery...mmmmmm. I bought a book for myself on how to apply philosophy into everyday experiments, but I just read it because it's fun. I had to buy it because the first experiment I turn to is the legendary Experiment #13: Drinking while peeing. It's an odd feeling...but worth the effort if done properly.

The food at Nacho's Kitchen (a.k.a. Nacho Mama's) is superb. I love my chimichanga, and the avocado / tomato nachos were nummy. Finally, we head back and Janaki opens her gifts: An XO purse from Jason, a Battle of the Sexes IQ game from me, and Durufle's Requiem from Gina. She was very happygiddy, and we proceeded to play the battle of the sexes game because...well, I WANT MY MONEY'S WORTH DAMNIT!

I get very much involved in it. So much that me and Jason miss our 1:18 train back to Farmingdale...heh. In the end, we manage to catch a train half an hour later to Hicksville, but we still get home around 3:00. I pass out around 4:00.

Ooh. On a side note, a cute anecdote when I was leaving Nacho's Kitchen. My parents tried to call me before, but I guess I must not have heard the cell phone ring. I call them back, and then get a bad case of the hiccups (probably from eating too quickly). I get around to talking to my mom, every seven seconds or so echoing a loud HICCUP! After a couple of minutes, my mom asks me, "Have you been drinking?" I thought she meant have I been drinking water so that the hiccups can go away. I think yes, but it suddenly dawns on me...MY MOM THINKS I'VE BEEN DRINKYDRINKY!!! I shout at the phone, "NONONONONONO!" and hang up soon afterwards, absolutely giddy with laughter.

Sunday, I wake up sometime around noonish again. I finally get around to seeing Kill Bill with Katie and Goobs and...woooooha! That's a fun movie. =D I'd totally go out and see it again. Lucy Liu kicks butt and shit. It's alllll good. I drive Katie back to Stonybrook soon afterwards, and get around to meeting her suitemates. They are as cool as she made them to be. Unfortunately, my parents (in reaction to me coming back late the previous night) wanted my ass back home as soon as possible. I couldn't disobey, and so I reluctantly say goodbye to peoples. :( I would have slept over if I could.

Monday was just the standard visit to school. After being chased around by a soccer mom, I'm forced to park in the pool parking lot, which is fairly far away. Jason manages to smooth talk his way past security and gets to park much much closer to the school. It's a good feeling, walking through the high school. Especially when I realize what I'm leaving, which is BITCH ASS SNOTTY GIRLS. Seriously...I hope they get their asses whooped in college. Or some sort of sharp slap of reality.

I was wandering around 9th period, looking for Cimaglia, one of the best math teachers ever. He's not outside of his room, so I ask these two girls hanging outside of his room if they knew where he was. One of them gives me this look of like... ¬_¬ How the hell should I know?

shut your mouth, you stupid bitch. A simple no would have been cool enough. Go kill yaself.

5 teachers later, me and Jason head out to McDonalds, where we just end up goofing off and being our usual crackbaby selves. It's really hard to cut back on the cursing though, especially when I got this strange pain on my tongue and keep accidentally biting it. Jason just forgets about curbing his tongue altogether, so we get many weird looks from both children and parents alike. You know how they have smoking and non-smoking? They should also have swearing and non-swearing.

Aside from that, not much new on a Monday. Tuesday was just manic laundry day, pack all my shit day, get all my cash day, etc. And my parents were being...meh. Very smothering. I was so very glad to get on that plane and be out of there. Speaking of my parents, I also am getting some very negative vibes from them. They say that I'm getting involved with too many extracurriculurs, which I guess is true to some extent. But they also say that if I don't improve my grades (which is essentially just math), then they're going to take me out of Case and put me in NYIT.

ew. I hope my dad really wasn't too serious about that. I'm tired...I need a nap. I drooled all over my psych notes today.
