On fall break plus a week.

A day by day breakdown of key events of what has happened over the past week or so.

Last Monday was the Steven Hawking lecture. By far, it is perhaps THE coolest thing that has happened in my life. Even if we were seperated by three hundred feet (and even I don't know if that's far enough), just to be in the same room with him is beyond words. The moments before he started to lecture was this absolutely awe-inspiring. It was eerie, the anticipation for the greatest mind in three generations to speak to us about hte nature of the universe. With the help of a voice box, of course. The actual lecture itself I hadn't much of a clue about anyway, being the non-physical being I am.

BUT HE SHOWED THE CLIP OF STAR TREK THAT HE CAMEOED IN!!! (I was in heaven after that)

So anyway, orch rehearsal on Tuesday sucked because it was long and crap. As Vicky says, I raped the Chinese Midterm since I got an A-. The OChem was iffy, the psych one was good (I got an A-), and the math one...yeah. That was full anal penetration, with my anus being the bleeder.

But then fall break! Hurray! The Friday I come back, I go on my little way back to the airport. Note to anyone thinking about buying food at a fast food area...THE PICTURES LIE!!! Do not submit to how ever tasty a sandwich looks in the advertising window. The sausage sandwich I had...euh...yeah. No. Don't do that.

The plane I was in was a little on the small side. You know a plane is too small when my hair can touch the ceiling and I don't have to stand on my tippy toes. My luggage kind of cramped the seat in front of me, but the flight attendent noticed it and offered me the seat in front of me since no one was sitting in it. He was a nice guy, but certifiably crazy. He gave everyone one of those smiles where your eyes fuckin' bug out and it's like...wh0a. If you've ever seen the Black Hole Sun video from Soundgarden, it's like THAT kinda smile.

Anyhoo, I arrive at Macarthur airport. It's this tiny, yet efficient airport, so I see my parents nearly immediately and the front entrance is only about ten feet away from them. It's like going to the Tainan airport. Anyway, on the ride home, my parents kinda rag on me for being involved with too many extra-curriculurs, which I guess is true TO SOME EXTENT. I finally get home, eat some absolutely wonderful Chinese food, and then chill out with Cass, Goobs, Hayley, Katie, and Nick. A fun time for all!

I'm beginning to share my love of Don Hertzfeldt short animation films. For anyone who doesn't know who Don Hertzfeldt is, he is an incredibly odd bird. He animates this absolutely weird cartoons that are delightfully wonderful in a disturbing sort of way. Try and download the following off the net: L'amour, Billy's Balloon, and Rejected. You will definitely get a kick out of them if you're into the whole quirky humor sort of thang.

Euh...what else...it's great to see Hayley so vibrant. Yeah, she's generally pretty good when I see her but she seemed extra sunshiney this weekend that I saw her. Maybe it was because the center of the Joniverse has phased back into everyone's life and...yeah. My local friends have really made me feel like the world revolves around me, and being the divan that I am...it's great. =)

After hanging out at Goobs', Katie, Jason and I binge at the Funzone at an all out Bemanifest. It's just as I have left it practically, except for a few new games and rides. I percussion freaked it, dancemaniaxed it, and of course...DDRed it. Needless to say, it's still as fun as ever, especially after playing songs that I haven't touched in a couple of months. After going on my little frenzy, I finally get around to sleeping around 2:00 ish and just snore until around noonish. Noonish maybe? I'm not too certain myself now.

Right now, I'm mentally exhausted after a long and lengthy, though very enlightening and cathartic IM conversation with Xiao. I'll probably update more sometime tomorrow.

By the by, Stephen Hawking really is da shit.
