My brain has been full of hexadecimal all day *tilts head, 0 to 9s and A to Fs pour out* No, I haven't been assimilated, rather I've been learning assembler programming at work. There's something strangely satisfying about it - you're working directly with the hardware, nothing is abstracted and you have to do everything yourself. I like to call it "primal computing".

Ghostbusters 2 is very underrated, I think. I just watched it for the first time in at least ten years and I'd forgotten just how good it is. It's at least as witty as the first film, if not more so, and there are some really great sequences, such as the Titanic finally coming in to dock and of course the Statue of Liberty. The run-up to the ending was a bit confusing, though - how did Vigo manage to come of of the painting if he hadn't taken over the kid yet? Iif he could do that all along, why didn't he?

Perhaps the most pressing question of all, though, is why all of New York seems to have forgotten about the whole giant marshmallow man incident and gone back to not believing in the paranormal. Until, of course, the next supernatural emergency.

I'm going to be mobile again tomorrow - I'm going up to my parents' place in the morning to pick up the car and then driving back down after lunch, after picking up a few more Simpsons toys from the guy I got the last pile from. I'm going to start listing them this weekend, so let's have fingers crossed for some good sales, especially as this car ain't cheap!

I think I need a new little writing project, after the small success of the last one. It's been fun to see the evoution of that:
hey I'm going to do a little analysis of the fight scenes in the movie --> hey I'm going to expand on that and compare the fighting styles from books, film and TV to their real-world counterparts --> hey I wonder if bartitsu.org will like this --> hey some guy wants to publish me in a national Holmes journal.
