... s, childhood shows. Yep, I've been a TV geek for a long, long time.
Ally McBeal - I was about... eight? when I discovered Ally. At first it was just some show my Mom was watching, but soon I became a bigger fan than she was. It influenced me greatly, I was thinking about becoming a lawyer for a while, lol. I loved its quirkiness and the characters, especially Ally and John. Even though I don't watch it very often and can see its flaws from a feminist viewpoint now, it'll always be part of me. Very first episode I remember watching: The Odball Parade.
Friends - basically the same I said about Ally! In this case I identified with Phoebe and I don't care how weird does that make me look, haha. Very first episode I remember watching: The One with the Fake Party.
These two shows are also the only case when I don't mind the dubbed version because it's just something I'm so used to. I'm plan on watching it again, this time in original version, though.
Pokémon - almost every Czech person of my age (or even my brother's who's four years younger) was hooked on Pokémon at some point. It was a thing. Everybody watched it, talked about it and collected merchandise. Likewise with...
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - we used to pretend we were Power Rangers, me, my brother and my then-best friend; I was the pink one and then I got really upset when they changed the actress.
And when I was at pre-school age, I watched plenty of Czech shows for kids you've never heard of. ;)
So yeah, these are the shows that defined my childhood. :)
