He spotted her and shuffled over to her in silence, and stared out of the window next to her. He started hum along to the song playing on his piPod, which just happened to be this song.

"Hello L---" and then, he noticed Lester. And the smile he had worn before faded immediately. He coughed, trying not to make himself noticeable and regained his usual look of indifference. "Good morning," he said, standing there awkwardly.

Then when, Lawrence joined them, she lit up even further. Once her eyes settled on Lawrence, her smile widened and turned almost radiant.
"Good morning, Lawrence~" she said, eyes sparkling with happiness.

She shook her head ever so slightly, turning her attention back to Lawrence. The softness returned to her face and she leaned back in the chair, smiling up at him sweetly.
"Very well, actually. Terri was almost well behaved this weekend, at least for her. I made sure to get plenty of sleep because I knew it would be a busy day today. What about you? How are you? Did you sleep well, Lawrence?"

She had the same amount of work this school year as she'd had the year before and she'd stopped tutoring people as much with everything new that had developed in the past few months. If Lillian was honest with herself, she'd been depressed lately and it had been sapping both her patience and energy.
