Cut it off. Right. Then why was everyone running around to the same side of the alley? Still, he was left with the Campbell sister. "This way," he said to Eleanor, taking off in the opposite direction than the others--not checking to see if she was going to follow. Couldn't waste any seconds here. If he remembered correctly, that alley should end up--aha! Yes, the other end was visible from this street.

And luckily only a chain-link fence was separating them. Without sparing a second thought, William scrambled up the fence just as James' persona hit the car. He landed on the other side, stumbling a few paces from the leap down at such a height. Hoping that Caledfwch's attack was enough to distract the car (just a few seconds was all that was needed), William grasped the Millie's wrist and tugged.

He pulled her back away from the wall, giving them some space between the approaching car and keeping them out of range for the others' attacks. "Are you alright?" he asked, releasing her wrist. There was a faint whisper from Rashnu, but the Persona didn't rise up.

The Packard hadn't cared that the Persona-users were following - not like they would ever catch it - but Caledflwch's attack came as a jarring surprise that the Packard swerved as best it could in the narrow alley and squealed to a stop, completely distracted from Millie. The Packard rumbled in confusion, oily smoke and exhaust filling the air, and the engine giving that characteristic flutter and whine that signaled something was obviously wrong with it.

It's target had been snatched out of danger in favor of a handful more people, something that had never happened to it before. In confusion, the rear-view and side-view mirrors swiveled around on their own. And then landed on Caledflwch.

Seemed like the car definitely remembered Cal, if the angry blaring horn and roaring engine was any indication.

Betty slid to a halt, stopping just short of running right into the side of the car. And now that she was in much closer range, she was sure she could strike out at it.

George the Chimera rather suddenly appeared beside her as she swung a fierce kick right into the car's closest headlight. The rattlesnake tail shot out and curled around her, pulling her back and out of the way of the car before the bear and elk heads both lowered, paws braced for an impact, ready for action.

Something George's size made for a pretty good road block, and he knew it.

Nina was, unfortunately, not a very fast runner, thanks to her skirt. She normally didn't have to do much running to begin with anyway. It might have been to her benefit this time though, since the demon car was preoccupied by the time she caught up. Since the idea was to keep it from moving, and there was an obstacle in front of it now, she figured the next thing to do was to prevent it from reversing.

It hadn't occurred to her that she could have just summoned her Persona (she liked doing things herself), nor had it occurred to her that perhaps this wasn't the safest thing to do. Or it had, but it was mostly it the vein of "too dangerous for the others".

Because attempting to slash a demonic car's rear tires with a pair of tailoring scissors clearly wasn't something any of the others should do, really.
