ugh I feel nauseated. Yesterday Pants and I went horseback riding...it was so much fun. Anyway, Sunday is mine and Pants' 2 year. We both work tonight and the rest of the weekend we have off so we're going somewhere and doing something....only I don't know what yet. I guess its suppoesd to be a surprise. It's killing me with curiosity.
So today I finally finished the dypitch that I've been working on for him (2 seperate paintings that hang next to eachother to create one big picture). I'm so broke right now, well except for the $2000 I have in the bank, but that's for a down payment on a car, and pay day is today so that'll be another $260 or so, and a couple hundred in my wallet, but that's for this weekend. I just bought special frames for the paintings today. I had to buy 2 36" ones and 2 24" ones to put them together because these paintings are each 24"x36". And they cost me $105 for those pieces. And they're only thin black metal frames but they're special ones made for thick stretched canvas, and since this is a dyptich and these paintings have to go right next to eachother, I need a pretty thin frame. I wanted to have them custom framed but I would have had to finish the paintings 3 weeks ago so they would be done by this week...and that wasn't gonna happen. Also, it would've cost me $85 PER PAINTING to have it done (and that's WITH the 20% off coupon) and that's just for the thin plain metal black frame. And like I said...I'm kinda broke...but I ended up spending quite a bit for a present that was intended to be way more thought and effort and time than money. I bought tons of new paints, brushes, meduims, terpentine, canvas tape, the frames, and conatiners and stuff to put cleaner in. Oh but I also got him this totally swank money clip. It's black matte metal with a silver border and I had his monogram engraved on it (just like I did on his liquor flask...) and it looks awesome because the monogram cam out silver on the black metal when it was engraved in. On the back it has the date 6-13-04 on the top and Love Anna on the bottom. I really like it. And I overheard him telling his roommate how he needs to start looking at money clips because he hates using his wallet and the rubber band he uses is retarded lol. So I know he'll really like it. And I can't wait to give him the paintings...it'll mean alot to him because he's always asked me if he could hang my artwork in his apartment but I never wanted to because I never really display my stuff. I'm excited...
