ABSOLUTE BOYFRIEND: A SERIES TO WATCHED OR TO DITCHED?
Absolute Boyfriend is a romance comedy manga made my Yuu Watase. A series compose of 6 Volumes originally release by March 2003 and ended by February 2005.
The story starts with Riiko Izawa, a young flat chested *32-A CUP* 16-year old girl who is very clumsy, simple-minded, kindhearted and hardworking. She hopes to find a good boyfriend since she was rejected by his one and only crush. When she returns the cellphone of an oddly dressed old man, he directs him to a website Kronos Heaven. It was a site said to create a ‘perfect lover’, thinking it’s a game, she accidentally orders one. The next day her ‘lover’ came more like a package and she named him NIGHT. And the story starts here.
Honestly when I first read this manga. I find it very awesome. Yuu Watase has the trademark of making real handsome dudes. She’s number one on my list if you’re talking about the looks of her leading man on all of her series. The story goes different though. She always goes opposite of whom I really liked which is kinda annoying.
Hotohori of Fushigi Yuugi- I really loved him but oh well

Aki Mikage - WAAAAAHHH the most frustrating of all is him dying!! Why Watase-chan! Why!!!!

Really annoying! If you understand what I mean! I almost forgot about Genbu Kaiden on Takiko dying. I already know she will die since the beginning of the series… but… but…
Anyway , I manage to watched the live series of Absolute Boyfriend Taiwanese version titled Absolute Darling.
I heard about this since 2 years ago and it was supposed to be a series for Wu Chun but he is replaced by fellow Fahrenheit Jiro Wang. The sudden replaced makes my hopes down and decided to drop down the series. But I manage to watched some parts of it just recently and honestly I didn’t know that Jiro Wang can be really yummy with the abs. Here are the screen shots. I also included pics of Night himself for comparison.
Absolute Boyfriend is a manga that is on my special list that’s why I didn’t like the live action that goes with this series. Not to mention the only manga that Yuu Watase made that I didn’t have any complains on her tandem. HAHA! So what do you think? Is the Absolute darling worth watching?
