MOON THAT EMBRACES THE SUN

Sep 16, 2012 21:59

It is said that in the beginning, there were two suns and two moons. But day was too hot, and night too cold. All of creation was thrown into chaos, and the people in misery. It was then that a hero appeared and shot one sun and one moon out of the sky with arrows, and brought peace to the world.

The latest drama of MBC this 2012 is Kim Soo Hyun’s “Moon Embracing the sun” is now pouring in Philippines television. I don’t have the exact ratings because I particularly dislike ‘tagalog dub’. So I watched the whole series in the internet. Particularly give me high hopes and sooo satisfying! Also the recaps of dramabeans can also be count. (also for the picture shots)

The story revolves in the fictional King of Joseon King Lee Hwon who still harbors feelings for the previous crown princess Yeon Woo. Yeon Woo is said to marry Prince Hwon but illness and soon death occurs on the crown princess as per manipulated by Evil era grandmother and Ministers. She soon returns with no memory as a nameless shaman and soon to be named Wol. Her destiny still entwines with King Hwon and His brother Prince Yang Myung who still harbors deep feelings for the deceased princess or so they say.

The characters are wonderful but the lines are perfect. I agree with dramabeans when she said that Yeon Woo is not the only one torn between two actors. The audience as well, I personally pity Prince Yang Myung who after all these years still/was and I think forever inlove with Yeon Woo and same goes for King Hwon who is unable to forget her.

The actors and actresses are indeed wonderful even the child actress/actors. It was said to have monster ratings in Korea with 41.1% on the final day if I’m not mistaken. I hope it will do the same here in the Philippines. If only they will put it on a proper timeslot.
