Mending

I took Mulder into the vet today to be re-checked. As of yesterday, his wound was still spewing clear fluid and pus, but today it looked significantly better. The doctor he saw today said that it should continue to improve and surgery should not be necessary. Hooray!

Mulder is at home resting. He is still wearing the cone collar so he won't lick the wound and get it re-infected. Poor thing is so miserable with that cone. He knocks into EVERYTHING. My cat has never been a graceful cat. My non-graceful cat + cone collar = runaway freight train. I have gotten next to no sleep the past two nights because of it. Every time I start to fall asleep, I wake up to a large crash. Then Mulder jumps on my bed and hits me in the face with his cone collar in an attempt to get kisses and snuggles. The problem is compounded by the fact that I live in a one room studio apartment. He is driving me crazy. I got little packing done today because my "short nap" turned into me sleeping the majority of the day away. I'm tempted to go sleep at work tonight, but instantly feel bad leaving Mulder alone when he is clearly miserable.

Cheers to a speedy recovery so I can get some sleep! Oh ya, and I want my cat to feel better.
