My accomplishments

Apr 07, 2004 10:41

Hi all--remember me? I finally have something worthy to put in here (and the time to do it...) It's spring break right now so I get a little bit of a break from all my students--which is VERY NEEDED at the moment. I have two accomplishments that I would like to share with all of you. I am extremely proud of myself and felt the need to express that pride...basically, in so many words, I'm the shit.

1st accomplishment: Being that it is spring break, I took a trip with some friends over to Yosemite National Park. I haven't been there since I was about 9 or 10, so it was awesome. My friend Megan and I climbed all the way to the top of Yosemite Falls. It took us 3 hours of switchback after switchback to get to the top, but once we got there, it was BEAUTIFUL! I'll try to put pictures up soon. My calves hurt like hell right now, but it was worth it. It took us 3 hours down of pounding on our knees--it seemed like it took forever!!!! Oh well--it was completely worth it.

2nd accomplishment: I just received the confirmation e-mail that says I am done with my Masters degree. See below:

Stephanie,

Congratulations on successfully completing all course requirements for the MA degree! This was rigorous and challenging work, and we hope that the lessons it offered will continue to be realized as you continue your professional life as a teacher. Attached please find the 206C course evaluation sheet on which we captured the main points raised by faculty in reviewing your work.

Feel proud in what you have accomplished and continue learning in this journey as a teacher!

I'm the bomb...I love it...I'm not even 24 yet and I have a Masters degree. I also found out that I'm the only person on my dad's side of the family who has a Masters. Cool stuff huh? Anyway, I'm done with bragging.

Ciao!
