My daughter is a person!

Aug 11, 2010 22:53

Scene: bedtime.
Setting: our queen sized bed.
Time: 8 p.m.
Characters: Me and Alli.

Note: Alli's words are not tranliterated or you would never understand. She speaks with 90 percent vowels and repeated sounds. But since we've been working on signs too, I am finally starting to understand her better)

Me: OWWWW!
Alli: Hair hurt?
Me: Yes! Ouchie! It hurts when you pull Mama's hair.
Alli: Sorry hurt Mama.
Me: I forgive you.
Alli: Kiss?
(Slobbery baby kiss, but at least her mouth was closed)
Me: Thank you.
Alli: Want hair.
Me: Can you be gentle? Nice to hair?
Alli: Gentle. Nice.
Me: OK, you can have it back.
Alli: Thank you. Nurse?
Me: You already nursed.
Alli: More nurse?
Alli: PLEASE?
Me: OK. It's mostly all gone though.
Alli: All gone? (Saddest face ever documented)
Me: You can try if you want to. Here you go.
(Latches on excitedly, sucks for awhile, doesn't give up after two or three minutes of nothing as usual, finally a let-down! Finishes milk, lets go again.)
Alli: Papa please.
Me: You got it kid.

allison, words, big girl, hair, sleep, wow
