House woes, I mean, update
Our house has been listed for SEVEN MONTHS now. About 15 people have looked at it. No one has made an offer. Not even a bad one.
We've known for a long time that our agent sucked, so we finally got a new one. He recommended that we list our house for $109,000. And we listened, because this agent was recommended by a lot of people and lord knows the other one wasn't selling it. But seriously, that is less than we owe on it. And that's BEFORE accounting for the 7 percent commision for the agent. (For those of you who are new to this saga, we bought it for $127,000 and currently owe about $111,000 or so.)
But every month that goes by, it's just sucking money out of our account. So even if we have to pay to get rid of it, it will be out of our hair and we can finally cut ties and start saving. We really would have so much money now if we weren't paying a mortgage AND rent and two power bills and two water bills.
