Protein problems

I sat down and thought about it and realized that I'm not getting anywhere near enough protein to grow this baby. I'm supossed to get like 75-100 grams a day, and instead it was more like 30. And all from milk. So I've been working hard to force protein down into my cranky sick belly. It didn't feel sick anymore when I only ate things that sounded good. (like oranges, yum yum yummers) but when i try to eat protein of any kind (yes, ANY kind, tofu, beans, meat, chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, cheese, ANYTHING) i get all queasy icky yucko.

So we talked and talked and brainstormed all we could about what would not make me ill. I came up with cream cheese. Not much else. Milk. Do you know how much milk you have to drink to equal 75 grams of protein? It's a lot. There's about a gram per ounce. So that would be more than half a gallon a day. Yipes.

Anyway, after a ton of thinking, I came up with POT ROAST!!!!! My mom's pot roast is absolutely fantastic, and it saved me from certain starvation during my pregnancy with Ben as well.

So we invited ourselves over today and she made (get this!) TWO POT ROASTS!!!!!!!!!

There's a party in my tummy, so yummy, so yummy!

food, pregnancy
