Most of the time, when Ben gets hurt, he can dust himself off and keep going, especially if we're outside playing. Occasionaly, he needs a kiss from his mama, and then he's off and running again. Rarely, he starts crying and I have to hold him in my arms for awhile, shhing him and kissing his head and rocking him gently to get him to settle down. And then there are those times, you know, THOSE times, where nothing will help. He cries to be held while I'm already holding him. He's panicked and just pushes his head deeper and deeper into my chest, like he's trying to make a little rabbit burrow or something. This happened the other day, and Stephen joked that it was as if he was trying to get back inside. And I said, you know how port-a-potties have those signs on them?
