Where's the fire?

My brother-in-law went into the military to learn to be a firefighter. He was pretty frustrated to learn that when he finished his training, he was certified to be a firefighter in every state except for Washington. He know he could move, but he has a son who he doesn't want to leave behind. So now he has all this awesome training in fire safety but doesn't really have a way to apply it at the moment. I don't actually know what kind of methods they used to train him, but I think this site features some really cool ones. It's a fine line between keeping training safe, and making sure that the graduates are actually prepared to go out and fight a real fire, you know?

My favorite part about my BIL's firefighting background was watching him hoist up my 185 pound husband in the fireman's carry and cart him around the house like he was a sack of potatoes. It was awesome!
