"Is your husband stuck in the 50s?"

Sep 25, 2007 09:52

My friend kikifitz has made a poll called "Is your husband stuck in the 50s?" about how much husbands/partners help out with household chores and kids, etc. She would like as many people as possible to take her poll, so if you have a second, (OK, its more like 5 minutes) hop on over there. Obviously, not every question applies to everyone. Just skip them ( Read more... )

friends, poll

Reading the poll makes me realize how great my hubby is. haha. He works outside the home AND helps 50 percent when he's here. The only difference is that I do more repair/maintenance.

Nope, not at the moment. I quit my graphic design job during the last deployment. I will probably be going back to school though once we are through with spawning (haha) and the last kidlet is in preschool. I'm looking into massage therapy or reflexology, actually. Need something that I can take along with me if we move, or be flexible during good old army deployments.

hmmm, massage therapy, though a great career, is not really that transferable. you have to start all over building a completely new clientel. its lame.

Dave is that way... he thinks that since he does or will do all the labor intensive work that he doesn't need to do the dishes, etc. But granted right now we don't have a house/yard so he has no work that needs to be done. LOL.

yeah, it seems like if it was really a fair divide, then guys would help out a lot more during winter months when there's less yardwork to be done. of course, its not like I'm going to shovel the walk either, so there you go.
