The other day I was supposed to go on a vegan picnic with my friend, so I made chocolate chip cookies.

After messing around with times and temps a little (my oven is broken and never gets to the right temperature), I came up with what I think is the best cookie I've ever made.

I know this is an old post, but have you thought of buying an oven thermometer? My oven is old and strange and finicky, but the thermometer is great - cost 10$, sits or hangs from a shelf, and is legible without opening the oven door. I'm a convert :o)

I actually bought an oven thermometer a few days after I made this post.
