perfect chocolate chip cookies :)

The other day I was supposed to go on a vegan picnic with my friend, so I made chocolate chip cookies.

After messing around with times and temps a little (my oven is broken and never gets to the right temperature), I came up with what I think is the best cookie I've ever made.

For as long as I can remember, my cookies haven't come out looking great. They come out crispy around the edges and not quite done in the middle (or worse, burnt on the edges and perfectly done in the middle). But I figured out how to shape cookies so they come out looking bakery-perfect!

Cookies the size of your head !

1. Roll 2 T of cookie dough into a ball (bakery cookies are always big).
2. Slightly flatten the dough ball between your palms
3. Make an indentation in the middle of your disk of cookie dough using your pointer and middle finger. It's almost like making thumbprint cookies.

After it's cooked, it comes out perfectly flat and round and awesome.

If cookie dough is more your thing, mini chocolate chip cookies rule. I took 1 T of dough for each one, and put it in a mini muffin tin. The cookies come out sans edges. They're not as pretty as the bakery-perfect cookies, but they're fun! Be careful though, because you end up eating more than you realize.

bite-size!

Also, I used this recipe. I veganized it by using:
1 T soy flour + 1 1/2 T water per egg
Earth Balance in place of butter
