Hey, stranger [complete]

Nov 15, 2006 02:11

Character(s): Rogue and Remy
Content: A reunion of sorts, and a bit of gossip.
Setting: Over the messaging service
Time: Tuesday2, afternoon
Warnings: Uh, Remy calls Emma a hooker in Frenchish.

lost nomadic: Sorry, excuse me~ Are you there?
overhand shuffle: Always, but the question would be if I had time.
lost nomadic: Well, let's find out - it won't take long, but I was just wondering what your second name is.
overhand shuffle: That begs the question of why, but I'll play along. Remy likes a good game or two. LeBeau.
lost nomadic: ... well, that's interesting~.
overhand shuffle: Is it? Co faire?
lost nomadic: Just how much time've you got, Remy LeBeau?
overhand shuffle: Depends on who's askin'. An' Remy can always make time.
lost nomadic: I wonder if you could guess who you're talking to. I like games as well, you know.
overhand shuffle: Ha! Mais, not many 'round here know Remy LeBeau...
lost nomadic: Oh, I'm not from 'round here'.
overhand shuffle: Weh, mind tellin' me where you are from?
lost nomadic: A little while away, and a little while ago.
overhand shuffle: Now, see, there that sounds like somethin' a gaienne would say. You're bein' a tad canaille.
lost nomadic: Oh, come on, Cajun~. I'll be hurt if you don't remember me.
overhand shuffle: Now, see, that's a bi'of a hint. Remy might be rememberin' now. Care to give another?
lost nomadic: Maybe you should start guessing.
overhand shuffle: Suppose this rahdoht has gone on a bit. I'll take a wild guess... Rogue?
lost nomadic: Got it in one! Not quite as sharp as you used to be, but sharp enough, I see.
overhand shuffle: Ah, can you blame Remy? Time is makin' him slow. Ca viens, Rogue?
lost nomadic: Funny thing, time - and it's all good here, thanks. And you?
overhand shuffle: Always doing well, it's jus' a question of how well, yes?
lost nomadic: Sounds about right. What the hell's Remy LeBeau doing on a pirate ship, I wonder? Didn't clock this to be your sort of thing.
overhand shuffle: Never figured you either, Rogue. Not the place I'd've expected to talk t'you again. But you know Remy, he likes to travel.
lost nomadic: Travelling, running, same difference for both of us, right?
overhand shuffle: Oo ye, if that's how you go 'bout thinkin'bout it.
lost nomadic: Gotta try not to think about it like that, but I dunno. Talking to ya again's got me all nostalgic.
overhand shuffle: Can't be that bad, can it? Don't have to be no roday, 's what yo' gonna make of it.
lost nomadic: S'all good here, actually. I like the life. The sea, and all that. What about you?
overhand shuffle: Pleasant, but I gotta wonder when th'cap is gonna booray.
lost nomadic: You on the ship with that guy who looks like he's inches away from a nosebleed all the time?
overhand shuffle: Weh.
lost nomadic: I hear there's always girls on that ship, and he never really notices, even though he hates 'em. How many're on it this port?
overhand shuffle: Did'n catch a tally, thinkin' fo', five. Cap's a bi' of a cooyoun.
lost nomadic: Poor guy. Thinks he's so in control with all his rules, and there the girls are, and he has no idea. Gotta feel sorry for him.
overhand shuffle: If'n he did'n try an' kick them off in the first place would'n be a problem. 'S own fault.
lost nomadic: True. Saying 'NO GIRLS' is like putting a sign up for all the more pioneering ladies about which says 'girls welcome here'. 'Specially when the captain's particularly short-sighted like that one is.
overhand shuffle: Zactly.
lost nomadic: Ah, well. If it makes him happy.
overhand shuffle: I think nothin makes him happy.
lost nomadic: Well, more fool him then.
overhand shuffle: Prolly. Where are you, Rogue? Don think you told me.
lost nomadic: Working as the quartermaster on the Artemis' Bow. Pretty ship. Captain's Oriana Hunter, who I'm sure you've heard of, friend. Everyone has.
overhand shuffle: Ah, she's a bi'famous. That one. Pretty captain, to match the ship.
lost nomadic: She is that. Knows it a bit too much, though, but at least she's cheerful. I got a better deal than you.
overhand shuffle: Sounds like it. Don suppose Remy can request a ship transfer, no?
lost nomadic: No idea. You could always ask, I guess~.
overhand shuffle: Nah, this ship ain't that bad. Interestin' crew as well.
lost nomadic: Anyone in particular that's interesting? I hear all sorts of stories about the Hajimaru's crew.
overhand shuffle: Oh? Nothin' specific, but Remy's keepin' his ears open. The most interestin right now would be a bit of a ... mais, putain.
lost nomadic: ... a hooker on the Hajimaru? A girl? Now, I know we said your captain's a bit dense, but how's she getting around him?
overhand shuffle: No idea, there is no mistakin' her either, if you know what I mean.
lost nomadic: You should ask her. Don't know about you, but I'm curious.
overhand shuffle: Then for you, Marian, Remy will do his best to find out.
lost nomadic: Thanks, Cajun. Say, I heard tell of a guy with pink hair on that ship, and a guy with a big black demon wing. You seen those, or are they just stories?
overhand shuffle: Caught sight of the pink one, thought he was another one of those women. Non, for the demon, I'll keep an eye out, if'n you like.
lost nomadic: Yeah. If only 'cause there's a guy with a wing on this ship too. It's curious.
overhand shuffle: ...oh?
lost nomadic: Mm. Weird, isn't it.
overhand shuffle: Mm. I'd say so.
lost nomadic: Well, 'fraid to say I got no more time to gossip. Time to go do some work.
overhand shuffle: Take care, Rogue.
lost nomadic: You too, Remy. Nice to chat again.
