social networks
i've got friends who go to UMBC, friends that go to MD... Friends who go to Howard community and friends who go to Montgomery Com.
I'de say the Montgomery community college kids, are alot more fun to be around. Mind you, they're still super imature... They are a more classy than the Howard Com. kids, and are therefore alot more appealing... Not to mention that they seem to walk away from campus with a bit of smarts about it... The howard county kids are in it strictly for the ENDS, not the means....
The kids at MD are... extremely pretentious, and think that their big hall classrooms, and long essays have truely earned them a spot.... I couldn't agree more. They still have only ever delt with what... maybe a 30 year old... Perhaps an older professor.
They have absolutely no, full time work world expirience however.... Sure, they are responsible in the light of, neat papers, and mediocre/acceptable atire, but they wouldn't know the first thing about sweating hard, and bleeding for your dinner... They wouldn't understand the stresses, that follow you all the way to the bar. And then! they hold it against you... very annoying...
UMBC kids, they are cool. Extremely laid back, and really not pretentious. Very rich though. And whle being sloppy is allowable, being wreckless is taboo.... They're are really cool though for the most part, the kids i know from there.... They don't have time to be mature or immature.... Maybe sometime to shop online for the freshest digs... HA. Time enough to cop an ounce of the nicest herb. Time enough to go to a party where everyone knows everyone....

I'm somewhere between all this. I think I'de fit in well at the Art Institue.
The thing is- each and everyone of these little social networks of school kids, who I like because they.... in theory, should be smart... each one of these groups has no incling of a world outside of their school and peers. Nothing else might as well exist out there, and they are protective of their little tribes habbitat....
This leaves me high and dry, as I roam between them all, with no support, on the day to day, let alone the long term....
And I'm no liar, I'de love a good group to kick it with....

Still thinking about renlisting.
