What: Tyler's bringing her a gift to make up for being such a crappy boyfriend.

Tyler knew himself well enough to know when he screwed up. And he had kind of done a lot of that lately. Between his fit about Caroline being drafted and making the mistake of talking to Klaus, he had really dug a hole for himself. Caroline had barely been talking to him, an easier talk now that she was living somewhere else.
But it still wasn't something that sit well with him. He didn't like fighting with Caroline. Anybody else and he wouldn't give a shit what they thought, but what she thought? That mattered.
Which is why he was here, trying to make things up to her. He didn't have a lot of money from his work with Alec, but he had managed to scrape up enough to pay for a pair of eriduan shellwork earrings. Today was Lifeday, which sounded pretty similar to Christmas back home. A good enough excuse to buy her something as any.
He brought a hand up and knocked on the door, waiting for her to answer.
