[So here's Merrill, deciding that her little apartment needs sprucing up. And since she actually has a window in where she lives, she's decided that she'd like a plant. It'd make everything more cheery, she thinks.
She's standing in the middle of the busy street, inspecting her newest (and first) find-- a kashyyyk green, that's what the man at the shop said. It's currently in a pot, which she feels a bit bad about because it should have more room to grow, but here room is quite small... She smiles at it. There aren't any flowers on it yet, but it does have an odd smell. She leans forward, giving it a good sniff.]
