That was what it boiled down to. It was supposed to have been a cover. A cover, a place for Sylar to sleep until he got his powers back. But then he started making mistakes. Dean, Jo, everyone on the Enterprise, they were all so nice. At home, he was always judged and villainized. But here, it wasn't anything like that at all. He got too comfortable. He thought he could have friends. And after the outbreak, he thought he could have Jo. The way she treated him ... it had to mean something, didn't it?
After last night, the answer to that was a resounding "apparently not."
He'd never felt so betrayed -- well, yes he had, but he was trying not to think about the other ten million times that this happened. This time was supposed to be different.
Hey, on the bright side, at least he had his powers back. Finally. If nothing else could satisfy him, maybe filling that particular hole in his soul would. Especially since everything excluding telekinesis appeared to be missing.
