Entrance/Meet and Greet

[ Buffy's wrangling security up at the front. She's working on some cotton candy simultaneously, so she's ... overall, less than imposing, despite the bright vest that identifies her as security. The pigtails she's wearing her hair in really help the intimidation factor, too.

She's staring off at the pretty lights, because she's not too worried about missing humans doing something they shouldn't be. Slayer reflexes and instinct and blah blah blah. ]

[When Anders walks up he's holding something questionable looking. It might be food, it might... glow a little too much to be food. His face is a mix of apprehension and fascination.] Do you think this would make your tongue gl-

... are those pigtails?

[ Buffy stops partway through stuffing some cotton candy in her face and whips her head around to look at Anders when he starts speaking. She shrugs a little at his question and then noms her cotton candy before responding. ]

Hey, no pigtail-judgment from the guy with the glowing food. [ She peers at the food, making a stink face. ] What is it, anyway?

Games

[Target games, strength games, that fish catching game that I think is japanese- anything and everything, feel free to assume whatever you want about what's there!]

[ And with security duty over with, Buffy is hauling her butt over to the strength games. Because she is going to win a fucking idk whatever kind of cute fluffy plushies they offer. I assume ewoks would be unethical. The hammer for that mallet thing that rings the bell sure looks like it's one of those wookiee-only weapons, but Buffy and her pigtails are staring at the person operating the booth with a flat look. ]

Look, if I pull anything trying to lift your stupid hammer, I promise I won't sue. So just hand it over and let me try already. [ She holds out her hands expectantly, eyebrows raised. This vendor is definitely judging her for her adorable tiny life. ]

[Dawn eventually meets up with her sister at the games, and she's laughing as she comes up behind Buffy and lightly tugs on one of her pigtails.]

You're really going for the twelve year old look today, huh Miss Mallet? [She teases, moving to stand beside Buffy. She glances down at the hammer, and then over at the game.]

Watch out, Buffy, you might break a nail. [Yeah, this doesn't get the vendor to stop judging Buffy's life.]

Why does everyone keep saying that? [ Okay, Anders hadn't said it directly, but she's still being butthurt. She scowls at Dawn and the vendor hands over the mallet, which Buffy lifts with ease. Obviously. ]

Now, see? [ She looks at the vendor. ] If I broke a nail, that might be sue-worthy. Pulling something? Not so much. [ A beat. He looks horrified. ] And that is what we Earth types call a joke. [ She exchanges an amused look at his expense with Dawn, rolling her eyes. ]

You want the panda-looking thing or the ugly dog? [ She points to the potential prizes with her mallet. ]

Food

[Greasy vendor food, space food. Also feel free to assume what is there (or have your character have their own stand/help with one!)]

[ Chloe is here under duress. Thane made her come, okay. In a non-sexy way. She's at one of the food vendors, trying to pick out what is the least ... disgusting and greasy and space food-y and looking somewhere between amused and disgruntled by it all. It's been a long time since she had fun, okay. She has a hard life. ]

And you're positive this is safe for human consumption? [ She takes the basket of fried whateverthefuck from the vendor after paying her credits and gives a hearty cringe. ]

I think it's intended for human consumption, but whether or not it's safe may well be an entirely different story. [Lily is staring at her own purchase with an extremely unsure look on her face]

Then again, all things considered, I guess we could ask the same thing of carnival food back home, too. [ She's picking up a piece of her fried monstrosity and looking it over. ] I'm almost thinking I should have eaten before I got here.

Stage

[During some parts of the evening people will be performing, near the end there will be free for all karaoke. Also possibly a mosh pit. Have at.]

[ God have mercy on everyone at the festival. Nathan is singing karaoke. But, to make matters worse, they don't exactly have U2 in the Coruscanti song book, so it's not really karaoke as much as him ... barging onto the stage and making dying whale noises that are supposed to sound vaguely like Bono.

Before anyone gets too horrified, yes he is being this horrendous on purpose.]

[ God, he's awful. Like it's almost impressive how awful he is. Buffy is going to get up on the stage and delicately yank the microphone out of his hands now. To the audience, those brave souls who stuck around, she gives a quick apology and dismisses it as Nathan being drunk as shit. Paraphrased. And then she puts the microphone back on the stand and begins to urge him off the stage. ]

Come on, time to let go. You are gonna be way embarrassed when this winds up on whatever holo version of YouTube they've got on this planet.

[He doesn't struggle nearly as much as someone who actually gave a shit would.] Be embarrassed or be famous? You've gotta go all in around here to be noticed, baby!

Pretty neat, huh? I... never thought I'd go to a fair again. [Catty grins at him, before scooting behind Kyp, putting her hands on his shoulders and pressing down.] You should carry me around.

[Unlike...every other person touching him, Kyp doesn't even flinch when she puts her hands on his shoulders. He looks over at her, amused] You really want me to carry you?
