I am very, very tired. 'Twas an alright day at school. Nothing overly exciting happened that I can remember off the top of my head. For my economics class we have to do an assignment where we create an ad for an apartment complex. We also have to design a floorplan and such and draw it out. I will never be an architect. During drama we piddled around and didn't do much of anything. I did start painting the bricks in the wall that I want to use for my "legacy." (We all paint bricks or something to leave our marks.) Right now they are black. At first I was going to try kind of a marble effect with the black and white, but it turned more gray. So I added more black and left it like that. Next week I'll put my quote and whatever else I decide I'm artistically capable of doing.
"If you lie on the integrity sheet, you're all going to AP HELL!!"
After school I came home in hopes of taking a short nap, then washing my truck and running an errand or two. However, I had to drive to Lakeland with my mom and exchange my Old Navy jeans that were too big (I ended up getting two pairs of jeans and olive green corduroys. w00t!). We were actually in Lakeland to get my Granny's old car from the Firestone that Arpie is the manager of since the car hadn't sold that. We finally got home around 6:15.
When I got home I read an email from the University of Florida saying that I needed to check my application status because evals were done. Yea, I didn't get in. My first application denial. And I don't care. It's one less college I have to pick between and I wasn't really that interested in going anyway. So, I have been accepted to three of the four colleges I have applied to, and of those three, I've been accepted, thus far, to two of the honors colleges. I'd say I'm doing pretty well. I have two more applications to fill out: Palm Beach Atlantic and Florida State University. Also, I have a neat little fan thingy that you plug into your laptop and it circulates the heat away from it, keeping the computer cool. It's great. And I broke it. Sort of. Some how I manage to loosen the little inside adapter thing that goes inside the outer plug (I'll find names for this crap one of these days). Either way, now, when the cord/plug moves certain ways or has pressure applied in the wrong places, it stops. If the thing breaks off inside, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm sure I might as well buy a new one.
"We're laughing about dowries... We're so dumb. We're so AP."
Lastly, my Uncle Wayne, the black sheep of my mother's family, who lives in Georgia near Brunswick, has a aneurysm (blood clot) in the brain that hemorrhaged (right usage of the word?) (began leaking blood onto the brain). He is slightly coherent, understanding conversations and recognizing people, but immediately forgetting what he's just said or who he's just spoken with. They were going to perform surgery, but can't, I guess because of the area of the brain it's on. They were going to airlift him to a bigger hospital in Savanna, but the weather is bad and the helicopters are grounded. Driving would take an hour and a half, so I'm not sure what they are going to do. Anyway, my mom is leaving for there at 4 tomorrow morning, and I'm getting up after Arpie leaves for work to take care of Russell til my Granny gets here. Please be in prayer for my uncle, my extended family, and for my mom as she travels (possibly alone). Thanx, guys.
I'm exhausted and I'm going to bed. Call the cell if you need something. I'll be up early tomorrow. Hopefully my grandmother will be here in time for me to go to bowling. *sigh* So much for a quiet weekend. :-/ I hope everything will be okay.
