Hello from Kansas City! I left just in time too since we had that sketchy storm in STL on the night before I left. During the storm out power went out about 5 times but never for more that about a minute or so. I realize now how lucky we are to have power as all of Mr. P's family is without. Our neighborhood was hit badly. Two doors down a huge tree was completely uprooted and pushed onto a house. Many houses had trees on them around us. Luckily we had just a tad of water in the basement. We're waiting to get an insurance adjuster out there to figure out if it is worth turning it in to insurance. We also aren't sure if it is just a fluke, or if there is structural damage. Either way, we'll be re-painting the basement because the walls are stained. Yuck.

I hope that you and your mom had a great time in KC. I've only been a couple of times as a child, so other than the amusement parks, I don't know of much to do there. Can't wait for the re-cap!
