I'm stuck in work at the moment. Well actually I'm writing this in work to be typed up later as I tend to do when I'm bored. Bob Marley's 'Jammin'' is on the radio, which would be fine if I was in a convertible car cruising on a balmy summer day or chillin' with a beer in a festival field. But right now it seems to go forever only serving to accentuate the dragging monotony of everyday life.
I remember my French teacher in third year, or year ten as the kids would say now, teaching us the phrase "metro, boulot, dodo" which sums up the aforementioned daily drudgery in a way that only the French could do.
Basically a typical day chez Scott goes a little like this: Wake up, drive to work, work, drive home for lunch, eat, watch the news, drive back to work, work, drive home again, eat, watch Hollyoaks, watch the Emmerdale/Coronation Street/Eastenders combo, check emails, watch the show that Lindsay says I talk too much about and then treat my ears to something musical before bedtime. Class or what!?
Thankfully I have updated the last couple of days with anecdotes from years gone by so to shed a little light relief on your brains and a little look at things that have shaped the man I am... I hope you've commented the songwriting blog!
