Vicflashmob
Dear Livejournalers of Victoria!
Since I love the idea of Flash Mobs and there's a very active group in Vancouver, and also because this is the perfect city for it, I decided to start a Victoria chapter!
According to Wikipedia a flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.

I was going to make an LJ, but I figured it was easier to make a yahoo account than to make a livejournal for those people in the community who want to join but don't have/do not want a Live Journal.
there is info on the yahoo page, but here is how the group will work:
-People will suggest themes, times (what time of day, and also how long the event is to last) and places for the Flash Mobs.
-A list of the suggestions will be accumulated and an event will be chosen by vote.
-The winning suggestion will be posted along with all of the details of the mob.
if you're interested, please join! the more people that do a Flash Mob the better and more successful it is! so tell your friends! tell your mom! tell your friend's friends and their moms! and dads. and children! people of all ages can participate. they can be politically fuled, or not. they can be used to send a specific message, or just for fun. the vancouver group has done things like have a pillowfight or a mass bubble blowing session in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery. the possibilities for this are endless, so please join and start making suggestions!
