The fiftyfifty needs your help and your stuff!!
Who we are:
the fifty fifty arts collective is a non-profit artist run society organized and operated by a small group of volunteer members that work to promote the independent art and music scene throughout the victoria area. the fifty fifty aims to provide exhibition and small performance space at little to no cost from the artist. the fifty fifty board is not bound by aesthetic divisions, and have little time for elitist judgment or genre restrictions yet do seek unique exhibits and programs that can not find an appropriate home elsewhere in victoria. We have been serving the arts community for almost 3 years now!
How we need your help:
The Fifty Fifty has been having monetary issues as of late and is in danger of closing! In order to keep serving the Victoria emerging artists we're holding a rummage sale!!
We're seeking hip thrift donations and well loved treasures to sell at our rummage sale, lemonade afternoon fundraiser on June 24th. We need your help and junk. If you, or anyone you know, have anything awesome you would like to get rid of (clothes, records, art, dishes, books, small furniture, your collection of dog figurines...) respond to this posting and/or email me at sly_like_a_fox@hotmail.com and i'll gladly come pick your stuff up at your place. Or we can arrange a time for you to drop it off, if you'd prefer!
also, if you don't have stuff to donate monetary donations are always welcome and can be made through the website: thefiftyfifty.net
When and Where the Rummage Sale is:
Please come down to the Rummage Sale Fundraiser! It starts in the morning on Saturday June 24th (official starting time to be announced in a later post), and is at the fifty.fifty art space, 2516 Douglas St. Victoria (at Douglas and Bay St.). The sign above the storefront says "Velvet Touch Furniture" but don't be fooled, it's the fifty.fifty!
