Does this policy extend to their novel line though? Because it makes a lot more time and effort - and there for cash - to translate (and make readable) a Japanese novel than it does a volume of manga, doesn't it?

Moving on, I also said I agreed and that I thought that Tokyopop bit off more than they could chew, being used to translating manga as opposed to novels and, basically, getting lazy. There are rumors that they only held license to the first six but these are absolutely not substantiated. They are possible but we lack proof. We can hold it as a possibility and act responsibly with this in mind but don't spread the rumor. I don't see why they would have announced publishing all 15, originally, anyway.
