TEOCUITLATL: SQUARE A4

Nov 24, 2007 23:31

The edge of the island had nothing but sand that stretches on endlessly in either direction. After a few meters of sand, the landscape changes abruptly into a thick jungle.

The jungle seems to have little free ground on it, as it is overrun with trees and roots. Leaves above are so large they block out the sun's light effectively, leaving anyone on the ground level in the shade and in thicker parts in total darkness. Vines crawl up most of the trees and slide across the ground as well, curling around some ancient looking ruins near the middle of this square.

A great number of wildflowers are in bloom near the top of some of the trees, but little other plant life lives near the ground due to the sunlight being so effectively blocked by the trees. Birds can be heard in the area, but seem to be hiding from anyone who might come along. If any other animals reside in the area, they are silent.
