He hadn't been on the Victoria II long, but he'd already learned to savor and appreciate his shore leave, unfortunately his time at Draklor had mostly kept him voluntarily chained to the ship and not the weather. He didn't really think much of it, the weather was a little inclement, but it was really just an excuse for him to curl up with a book and some tea or some gun cleaning oil and his gun.

Unfortunately the Commander seemed to be in some sort of ... mood. Ffamran was under no delusions that the Commander really respected him or thought he wasn't a screw up - he'd gotten into too many ridiculous scrapes for that - but he would have liked to think the Commander respected him just a little.

He had, in hand, the box of envelops that had dragged him off the ship into the weather and Edgeworth had chewed him out for not having gotten hours earlier even though the weather was absolute crap.

Ffamran banged on the First Mate's door, probably a little louder than was really necessary but it made him feel a little better.

Edgeworth's body jerked up, and he snapped his head to the door, freezing while his heart pounded against his chest. He slowly came to realize what the sound actually was - somebody banging against his door - and he took a deep breath as he released the death grip he had on his pen. It fell to his desk with a soft clatter, and he rubbed the side of his head. "What is it?" he snapped, loud enough to be heard from the other side.

Ffamran sighed, he entered the Commander's office and was surprised to find him looking near murderous. It figured, after making such a big deal out of the envelopes and now seemed to have completely forgotten about them, or was still angry about them, it was hard to tell.

"Your envelopes, sir?" Ffamran set the package down on the corner of Edgeworth's desk.

Now that he looked at Edgeworth it was clear that he was -- distressed about something. He didn't know the Commander had it in him.

Edgeworth blinked at the package, before he remembered the errand he sent Ffamran on. He forgot all about it, until the boy stormed into his cabin. The first mate turned away and snorted, before he retrieved his pen. "It took you long enough," he said. "Did you remember to pass the message along to Lieutenant Peters while you were out?"
