[Closed] Shoot into the Summer Sky

Time: Midafternoon of one of the free days
Warnings: Possible discussion of medical stuff? Probably pretty fluffy overall though.
There were many nice things to be said about the Hanami Festival - the weather was lovely, the flowers were beautiful, and it was always nice to see people from many places come together in times of peace rather than war. Still, out of all the things here, Jyuushirou had to admit that his favorite was the food. Festival food was always such a change from 'regular' food - not something he'd want every day, to be sure - there were only so many varaitions of 'food on a stick' one could go through, really - but it was a nice change, after all.
And best out of all these were the sweets. Plenty of vendors sold things that were easy enough to find in bakeries and sweets shops in the city, but there was always one or two who had something different, or who had stuff fresh enough that it was worth the line-ups and the not-insignificant mark-up on the price. So, when his turn for an afternoon shift off came, Ukitake was plenty happy to make the rounds. He had left his uniform jacket and vest in his quarters - he was off-duty, he didn't want to be marked as military right now. With the warm weather out, all he added was rolled up shirt sleeves, and then he headed out to wait in the lines himself.
