She looked more like she was about to charge off into battle than she did like she was about to go catch flowers.
"Always," she said.

Doing his best not to look awkward, Pip let out a small sigh as he spoke. "Y'know, you don't have to be so serious. It's just a contest." Albeit one with (hopefully) a lot of prize money for grabs. It would really help their cause.

Her stony gaze never faltered. She was just...extremely competitive.

Turning back to the front, the man directed his plane towards the starting line, tugging down the goggles to over his eyes properly. He would really kind of want a smoke about now, but it probably wasn't the best of ideas. Besides, the woman behind him would most likely kill him if he did.

"Remember," she said, "my reach with the length of the net handle is about one point four six meters. If you aren't that close to a cluster of blossoms, you're wasting time and money."

Trying his best not to sigh for the third time in a row, Pip started up his plane as the announcer for the event started to do his/her usual babble and all that jazz. Two minutes later, the signal for the event to start had began, and the mercenary wasted no time to bringing up his plane into the skies.

her eyes sought out the nearest cloud of pink petals, and she pointed to it. "There! Take us in close."

Over the rumble of the engines and the whirl of the propellers, Pip shouted out towards his companion. "Alright, its up to you now, Erza!" he went before fully whirling under the cloud and petals began to fall everywhere on them properly.

"Take us up!" she ordered.

Well, that could be thought about after this was done with. The man made sure to keep the plane steady as he levelled it properly, making sure it was steady enough not to throw either of them off as a shower of petals and flowers flew across and towards them.
