Flower Power!
Characters: Everyone participating in the flower catching contest!
Content: Catching flowers all the way across the sky~
Setting: Balisier and the surrounding areas
Time: Afternoon
Warnings: Flower overload
While it lacked the raw excitement of the fighting tournament, or appealed to the senses like the dance or cooking contests, the flower catching contest was a time honored tradition for the Hanami Cloud Festival. The oldest event, it had quite a history behind it. The first recorded contests were conducted on the ground, with people holding baskets trying to catch the flowers as they floated leisurely down to the ground. The idea of catching from airplanes was a rather new one, but when it was introduced, it was a rousing success.
Any area covered by the Norton Cloud was considered fair for flower catching, including Balisier itself. For the one hour duration of the contest, residents and visitors alike could look forward to watching planes soar over their heads. Such a simple contest had three simple rules:
1. Don't impede other teams
2. Planes were not allowed to land until the one hour time limit was up
3. The team with the most flowers (measured by weight) was the winner
The planes had all lined up about a mile outside of the cloud's radius, and when the signal was given, the planes were allowed to take off.
