Pip really felt kind of terrible that all of this had happened while the captain had been away - he was the first mate after all, and in a way he should be responsible for all of this too. But Prime hadn't really blamed him for it, and while that was... good, it still felt kind of bad since he was supposed to be more responsible instead of partying around.

Which was why of course he had made the effort to come, arriving first onto the bridge. A cigarette was on his lips - a sign that he was pretty stressed. Pip rarely smoked a lot these days, unless he felt like tearing his hair out and needed some good old nicotine to calm those nerves. And this was really one of those times.

Pip glanced up at the call, blinking as cigarette smoke floated across his face while the mercenary noticed the silver-haired other and raised a hand back in greeting.

"Hey zere," he greeted back, usually controlled accent now slipping into something more natural - a sign that the man had a fair bit on his mind.

Nikolas was vaguely worried that he'd be late. He liked being punctual, but he'd had some minor business to deal with, so it was a relief to see that while he wasn't first on the scene, he wasn't last, either. He nodded to both Pip and Gintoki before finding a free spot on the wall to lean against while they waited for the others to arrive.

Ah, another one. Pip nodded back in return when Nikolas entered, making a small mental sigh as he puffed out a cloud of cigarette smoke. Looks like everyone was starting to come in now, which was a good thing; once everyone needed was here and the chief was here, they could start this whole thing. And really: the sooner they were done with this, the better.
