[ closed | convoy ] meeting with the captain

What: Discussing Dojima & Adachi's mission on the Convoy.

Dojima looked forward to meeting the captain and finally putting a face to the ship he and his daughter were presumably staying on for the next few months. He chatted with the first mate, but he needed to know if he had the captain's full cooperation... and he wanted to hear it from the man himself so there'd be no doubt. None of this difference engine crap.
The most pressing issue was Adachi's cover. While Dojima was openly investigating, his partner would play the part of a civvie, discreetly gathering information people would be otherwise reticent to give to a cop. And though Adachi had supposedly used the cover of "taking a vacation" before, Dojima wasn't so sure that would cut it anymore. He needed to secure Adachi a plausible job-- perhaps one that would prove doubly useful beyond simply providing cover, like records keeper-- and ensure the captain was okay with keeping Adachi's true purpose on the Convoy a secret... from most of his crew.
That last bit would be the hard part. Nobody liked secrets-- especially not amongst his crew. But he hoped the captain would see the necessity.
He stood in front of the door to the captain's chambers, jacket slung over his shoulder as always, and double-checked his pocketwatch to make sure he had the correct time for their meeting. Everything was go on his end. He looked at his partner to make sure they were both ready before rapping his knuckles on the door.
